2018 OCTRA TENTATIVE Ride Dates.

The following dates have not been sanctioned. They are provided below to help you plan your ride season and vacation requests.

April 28 and 29 – Aprilfest at Dufferin (Sue Downing)
May 19 and 20 – Anniversary Ride date under review (BoD)
June 16 and 17 – Summer Solstice at Dufferin ( Sue Downing)
June 30, July 1 and 2 – Coates Creek Challenge (Nancy Beacon)
August 4,5 and 6 – Madawaska Ride (Rob Wright)
August 18 and 19 – Summer’s End Ride Baillieborough (Phyllis Pecile)
September 1 and 2 – Cala-Boogie Calabogie (Pauline Fleming)
September 29 and 30 – Oktoberfest Dufferin Forest (Sue Downing)

Attention all 2018 Ride Managers.

Please plan now to attend the important Ride Managers’ Meeting on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Coburg, Ontario at our AGM. Please invite members of your ride management team as well (secretary, timer, trail master). Agenda:

Sharing of best practices,
Mentoring opportunities,
Response to members, concerns/complaints,
Rule application, review of any new rules & their affect for management
Year end points, data format for ease of collections – all the interconnections of data, importance of ride flyer format,
Emergency situations,
Consistent, equal opportunities for competition.

If you are unable to attend send a management team member as a representative of your event, to share info with manager.

Reminder: Complete sanctioning forms and event payment must be received by the Sanctioning Chair, Judy Durst, the first week of January 2018. Your notice of intent to host an event, with specific dates, should already have been submitted to the Sanctioning Chair. Judy Durst.

Results Updated for 2017 Summer Solstice 34km/21m SSG.

Due to a cut and paste error, results originally posted on June 29 were in error. Thanks go out to the riders who noted the discrepencies between their ride cards and the posted results. Ride management reviewed the results, found the error and submitted corrected results this past weekend.

These new results become official on November 29.

2017 Lopin’ Larose Results.

UPDATE 2 Nov 1: The SSP ride has been updated to reflect the 42k/26m amended distance and the corrected results are now posted.

UPDATE Oct 31: The 40k/25m SSP result has been pulled pending correction of a transcription error in two riders’ times. Stay tuned!
