Proposed and sponsored by Sherry Blenden, DVM, a new Gaited Horse Year End Award was approved by the board of directors on May 14, 2019. Many thanks to Sherry for recognizing that gaited horses are bred for distance, have a distinguished history in distance events, and deserve distinct recognition.

Due to extremely wet conditions Rob Wright has announced the postponement of the Sheila and Marg Memorial Ride scheduled for May 18-19, 2019. With the approval of the board of directors, Rob has announced that on the August 3-4 long weekend the ride will proceed as planned. A new ride flyer has been posted. The location remains the same; only the date has changed.
Summary: LD points calculation is clarified; LD’s will now be placed; and, except for championships, Set Speeds will be graded not placed.
